Despite the current events in the world, we have doubled the amount of teachers in our team here at MLC Loughborough.

This provides more options for lesson days and times, as well as more study options, such as Arts Award, with more courses and workshops in the pipeline, which will be announced soon.

Joining the MLC Loughborough team are:

Stella Watson – Vocal Coach and Arts Award Advisor

Stella joins the team as Vocal Coach and will also be delivering a range of programmes and courses with us very soon, including our Arts Award.
Stella graduated in 2006 with a BA (Hons) in Popular Music Performance at Wolverhampton University and then became a fully qualified teacher whilst studying DTLLS at Birmingham University. She has worked in colleges and schools teaching singing, music and performing arts. During the evening and weekends Stella is a recognised vocal coach and franchise leader for both Loughborough and Leicester choirs. Stella is also a singer in a local duo called ‘Acoustic Bliss’. She is currently studying for her MA in Professional Practice (Voice Pedagogy).

Emma Stafford – Drum Set and Composition

Emma joins MLC Loughborough as our Drum teacher. She has played the drums for 12 years and has played in many bands, ensembles, and orchestras for over eight years. Emma graduated with a BA (Hons) in Music from the University of Nottingham in 2017 and later graduated with an MA in Music Education: Instrumental and Vocal Teaching from the University of York in 2020. She has taught drum kit to numerous students, particularly during and since her time at the University of York. Emma enjoys teaching and working with students to develop their skills in playing and performance, to achieve their goals, and to nurture their love for music.

Jack Cobb – Guitar and Bass

Jack joins us as Guitar and Bass teacher. As well as teaching, Jack will also be helping to run band workshops and helping with MLC Loughborough Live events. He has been playing the guitar for over half of his life. Which includes over five years of live gigging experience in venues across the UK and three years of teaching experience, teaching guitar amongst other subjects. Jack continues to study at MLC himself, and has also worked at Abbey Road Music for 6 years.

They join our current team of Rhianne, Chris and Tim who are all offering excellent online tuition, along with everyone else across the MLC Network.
